The GBIF Portal has a main server at the GBIF Secretariat in Denmark and mirror servers at the Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum (BGBM) in Germany for the European region and The National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII) in the United States for the Americas to ensure reliable data access and fast data processing regardless of time zone.
